Manufactured April 17, 1970.The painstaking inlaid gold Florentine engraving on this custom built gun covers all sides of the receiver, trigger guard, locking lever, forend hardware and grip cap. Notice how the attaching screw heads have matching gold accents. The bottom of the receiver features an inlaid gold and platinum cameo of a young woman (presumably the wife of thefirst owner of this gun).Precision checkering has been cut into the pistol grip, beavertail forend and butt of this hand selected piece of feathercrotch European walnut. The forend features a triangular ebony insert at the tip, and the bottom of the stock has a ‘yet to be monogramed’ gold oval insert."Custom built by Winchester" is engraved in the top of the solid rib.
