I distinctly remember when our firstborn was born. I can remember being filled with a ton of emotions – nervous, excited & feeling like there was someone who was more important than anything else I’ve known. Immediately I felt a sense of protector, that he was my first priority – nothing else mattered.
I wasn’t that type of man where being a dad felt natural or I inherently knew what I was doing or was going to do. What I did know is that everything I did going forward was going to be to make sure I took care of my family – they came first.
